What is Permanent Cosmetics?
Permanent cosmetics, also known as cosmetic tattooing, is an exciting and fast-growing profession in the health and beauty field.
Would you like to say good-bye to applying eyeliner and lipstick? Permanent cosmetics can correct faint, partial, or absent eyebrows. Lip colored tattooing can be used to create natural lip line, cover lip scars, and bring the color of your lips to life. Perhaps best of all, eyeliner tattooing will allow you to wake up every morning with perfect eyeliner for several years.
Cosmetic tattooing also has more serious applications. It is of great benefit for anyone with medical issues involving eyesight or steadiness of hand. It can dramatically lessen the appearance of scars. And following breast reconstruction after a mastectomy, cosmetic tattooing is amazing for areola and nipple restoration.
Eyeliner defines the beauty of the eyes. It makes lashes appear thicker when not wearing mascara. Permanent cosmetic eyeliner is done by placing pigment in to the lash line to make the lashes look fuller.
Enhancement of eyebrows is important because they frame your eyes and enhance the expression of your face. Anyone who uses a pencil to draw their eyebrows will love permanent make-up. Permanent eyebrows look better than penciled-in eyebrows and are perfect for filling in sparse eyebrows. Eyebrows that are too light, too thin, sparse or non-existent can be beautifully enhanced and improved with micro pigmentation. This procedure is perfect for chemo patients and brows that have simply been diminished from over plucking.
What is microblading? Microblading is a new tattoo technique that fills brows out or reshapes them by drawing on tiny lines that look like individual hairs.
Microblading is done with a hand held tool that looks like a tiny X - ACTO knife made out of needles. This method puts ink into the skin but doesn't go as deep as a regular tattoo and so the results are semi permanent rather than permanent.
This procedure is done in two appointments. Once for your initial application and then again when the brows have fully healed there is a touch up appointment.
Permanent cosmetics can give color to pale lips, thin lips can be enlarged, and misshapen lips can be corrected. Lip color is perfect for lips that are asymmetrical, thick, thin, or have uneven vermillion borders. It will also eliminate the problem of lipstick “bleeding” into the fine lines around the mouth.
This therapy may be used to treat a wide range of skin issues from acne scars, pore size, surgical scars and wrinkles. No chemicals, toxins, or poison are used as it is a completely natural process. Clinical Needling, also known as Collagen-Induction Therapy, is a minimally invasive non-surgical and non-ablative procedure for facial rejuvenation. A specially designed microneedle stimulates your body’s natural healing response. New collagen and elastin is produced and new capillaries are formed. This treatment leads to reduction of scars, improved hydration, texture and overall skin rejuvenation. As opposed to ablative laser resurfacing, the epidermis remains intact and is not damaged. For this reason, the procedure is safely repeated as needed.
For women who have undergone mastectomies or any type of breast trauma, areola repigmentation can rejuvenate a sense of wholeness and femininity.
Here at Forever La Belle, our goal in this area is to restore your natural beauty and the self confidence so often hurt after these traumatic events. You are a survivor and will be treated with the utmost respect that you deserve.
We begin by evaluating the situation. The intention here is not only to restore lost color but to soften and lighten any
associated scarring, there by treating the breast as a whole rather than a piece at a time. This process of treating the entire breast takes a commitment of time from both the woman and the technician.
However the end result is well worth the additional effort, and remember... so are you.
Can I choose the shape and color?
Yes. But it is important to realize that not all shades and shapes are suited for everyone. We will have to take measurement of your face and take special consideration to your specific skin tone in order to choose what will be best for you. Shape is always drawn and color approved by you before permanent applications are applied.
Can pigment cause an allergic reaction?
We use a pigment that is specifically designed for the unique needs of facial skin.
How do I get Started?
There is some paperwork to fill out, then we will discuss what to expect, choose colors/shapes, and take photos. Consultations require a $50 deposit (which will be applied to your procedure costs). The consultation will take approximately 30 minutes. During this time we will do a patch test using a tiny needle and the intended color you chose. Your procedure will be scheduled a week later.
What is the recovery time following a procedure?
Eyeliner usually has a down time with peeling for 3-7 days.
Eyebrows typically peel and then heal within 5-10 days.
Lips take the longest, recovery happens within 3-4 weeks.
How long does the color last?
It is permanent. There will always be color. However, over the years, pigmentation will slightly change depending on sun exposure, medications, chlorine, retina products, and body chemistry.
Anytime the skin is penetrated there is a risk of infections. At Forever LaBelle Permanent Cosmetics only single use disposable needles are used, to ensure client safety. We are current with annual blood borne pathogen exams and OSHA requirements. Upon leaving you will be given after-care instructions on proper home care.
